Leadership
Mike Lipsett
Director
Mike is a Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Alberta and Director of the ICE Program. In partnership with the Alberta School of Business, Mike initiated ICE's first curricular course in Spring 2018. Today, Mike provides strategic support on ICE's program development, project management, and stakeholder engagement. His guidance supports the team in delivering programming that supplements existing maker spaces and resources on campus.
Makena Kigunda
Program Lead
Makena is a Bachelor of Commerce graduate and leads ICE's cross-functional team in developing and delivering value-driven, student-focused, and integrated programming. She is responsible for the day-to-day management of program planning, implementation, and stewardship.
Customer and Program Development
Saba Iqbal
Content Development Lead
Saba Iqbal is a content developer lead with the ICE Program. Saba holds a Bachelor’s in Architecture and a Master in
Entrepreneurship and Innovation. She provides support developing content for different modules
offered in ICE. In addition to content development, Saba also provides support and input into the space
layout and space setup of the ICE program as it gets ready for in person content delivery and
collaboration.
Erika Hudon-Kaide
Program Developer
Erika is completing her fifth year in the Bilingual Bachelor of Commerce program and has recently completed a certificate in leadership at the Alberta School of Business. She has a lot of experience in the nonprofit sector, and hopes to transition into the tech industry.
Anantdeep Singh Samra
Program Developer
Anantdeep is a 3rd Year Mining Engineering Co-op student and a Program Developer at ICE. His role at ICE involves doing customer research and he is currently working on finding the best ways ICE can support students who have limited experience with Entrepreneurship at UAlberta.
Madina Usserbayeva
Program Developer
Madina is a 4th year Chemical Engineering Co-op student from Kazakhstan. Madina’s role covers overall program operations, development, and directly aiding the Program Lead.
Mentor and Ecosystem Engagement
Munia
Program Developer
Munia is a 3rd Year Co-op Student and Program Developer in our Mentor and Ecosystem Engagement Portfolio. In her role at ICE, Munia engages to build collaborative relationships within UAlberta's innovation ecosystem and develop out our mentor outreach and programming.
Marketing, Communications and Web Development
Jordan Rusk
Program Developer | Web Development
Jordan is a 4th Year Engineering Co-op Student and Program Developer at ICE. She currently leads the development, maintenance, and continuously expansion of our website site and digital footprint.
Dan Collera
Program Developer | Marketing and Communications
Dan is a 3rd Year Engineering co-op student and Program Developer leading ICE's marketing & communication efforts and developing avenues to connect with emerging tech entrepreneurs on campus.
